Unless you count using something other than paper plates for lunch. Then I would consider it gussied. However, I recently received a set of quilted placemats and napkins from Judy, and I was compelled to take it up a notch.</font><font color="#000000" size="3"></font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJbVvsBB2TnxVgPHSS-6nZKnLr3_P6lz7OGCt74JBAS3RxNq1SyOJXhIGb3dgeJUBeWBJ563Uw48POTAurw2EJoj6R45ak2GidMkDKwodRywmjNb7ZZRK7zZ52H9598NmoGC7_oI7e4JY/s1600-h/lilac%20arrangement%5B6%5D.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="lilac centerpiece" border="0" alt="lilac centerpiece" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIl1enZBySvi32RkxRuAhVm0Q8VoOPf8xoV8j5SaaAl-YkfYRdT39qwhULIHQI8Raa_k40tMdgTJGh0Rcn3P0gx7VN_eUkb96GIA71Jonm3I7bAIwcMeH3fzq4kjvBuXSexVAksFfHRIc/?imgmax=800" width="653" height="436" /></font></a><font size="3"></font></p> <p><font size="3">Judy’s shop offers a number of items for your home, and as I’ve said before—when I find something/someplace I like, I want to share it with you! She was so patient with me (and my indecisiveness), yet she was quick and professional (note: no indecisiveness) when I finally figured out the direction I was going.<a href="http://www.southernstylehomedecor.com/jzcart/all.php"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" src="http://www.southernstylehomedecor.com/southhead.png" width="637" height="168" /></a></font></p> <p><font size="3">I couldn’t help but do a little photo shoot of them. Of course, the neighbor’s 10-foot lilac bush was screaming for a little photo action, too. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="blue white placemats" border="0" alt="blue white placemats" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEGV-Z7znrvuEESy8qEq2y7DqKXqg0tOfL2NdwElBkHJED8kPsrhIR27TUzPALAol-CkD5IAHfaH8o9ednhS7UzKHL_50ctHFxzaI3Adf2BzBXNtkG4sSzbccOuyAhtE8wn2ozF_VtzWY/?imgmax=800" width="649" height="433" /></font></p> <p><font size="3">It’s at moments like these that I wonder if I’m the only one who sets oddly insignificant goals for themselves. However, it was a busy weekend! In an effort to give a “holla!” to all the hard-working women out there (can you tell I’ve been listening to a lot of Beyonce this weekend?), I thought I’d share a little picture tour of my accomplishments. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Two kinds of people will appreciate this picture. 1. Anyone who lives in Michigan—no more boots! 2. Anyone who fights the daily war with shoes.</font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTLH_0cyOwajgJK1wMOPg9agR2WSu0i9vzFASHgbiZgnJvk9pesnNQsLF8Z-s7aqoukN8cIGAyATBhr2HVvpuF-__2JlFhze7usBFHeB6wzlL76S0meya-x36pz_H81-J8V-yunQ3yuiY/s1600-h/IMG_8379%5B6%5D.jpg"><font size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="boot storage" border="0" alt="boot storage" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMvQ4RAgFWvyGMAC0jiEt0EAiR-gIG_quj7z5cyu5rcb6XsHdMVj4gIE2N1EEPj-MtVDrYfiYmTVD_iQu4JDycMEYjnRNnBGsOOEcZ8s-_Pqgl_zSONvUmggN2YUINdFppvL6fjfXyyD0/?imgmax=800" width="637" height="425" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">Just pretend this picture’s obvious. With a lot of pictures. I venture to say it’s taking me longer to get this post around than it was to actually do the project. With <a href="http://www.justagirlblog.com/2011/05/cabinet-is-d-o-n-e.html">the cabinet</a> finally finished, I realized that my daughter really needed some more room for her books. I didn’t want to fill <a href="http://www.justagirlblog.com/2011/05/cabinet-is-d-o-n-e.html">that pretty thing</a> with <strong><em>all </em></strong>books, so I had to come up with something. </font></p> <p><font size="3">So here’s the something.</font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg3TynwGx3M-f_Xj9y42SjZYK59S7uQor5VDaiYUYB5CslVchuE41KZboOa2EHuVphINU30QrRmo90dydmp9P13dZ7p8MqzHfVzFYW9pueVWTIqDpocVCcuJ91gP3CE0xUsQSORN3fmDo/s1600-h/IMG_8081%5B6%5D.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="DIY bookshelves" border="0" alt="DIY bookshelves" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVL3CJDEvy-Od1sSmCjH1pN7DWaUFxf2V0cJVfrpK6T5hFmHs7lWwGS1g2Dake9wZvUU0QbD8aNmC4Tj5rrDSqcsSRBixyq_CNHwg9GpG2aaCd00_j7UVTA3EZjizJbV00rXSxOj2Eh6s/?imgmax=800" width="537" height="594" /></font></a><font size="3"></font></p> <p><font size="3">I will admit that it’s the first project involving wood/nails/labor that I’ve done <em>completely</em> by myself. It has eluded me for years, and I’m still trying to tackle it. It all comes down to one final element—art above our bed. I didn’t want to spend <strike>any</strike> much money; I was dealing with some difficult dimensions, and I wanted it to be VERY simple. How’s that for easy?</font></p> <p><font size="3">Here was my plan of attack--toilet paper or paper towel rolls. I tried using some wrapping paper rolls, but they were a little too thick to cut through easily, and they didn’t measure the same in width as the t.p. That stands for toilet paper—we’re tight like that.</font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG-79rhBuZxZF7-MCv0fSjBlmKHnShl6RIcRutBwB0zQhO9D4VASk29fk5npY_4XlT5S1mZYy1Q6Kil7m1J1wPaOtXdCZPZQr10SadWqXwJLrm1vyIJwwBTXNgrrZqYUq3M3R5vHLbCSQ/s1600-h/IMG_7274%5B5%5D.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="toilet paper rolls" border="0" alt="toilet paper rolls" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6BG9cjFAFEH7_Wn4nLIJ9zlSEqbr3DS7mVRdnJjoZpf6KU-dwN5uknHu2wW4Ybm6L-FrnB8-gKnAOpWzimxZAl0NJOranEpLLbr-KOydBeEMTTG5R8dDYdau0-OpDg6t3qFlT466Z37U/?imgmax=800" width="621" height="414" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">I measured out the rolls by about 1 1/2” marks and cut them into their little strips. Once they’re all cut out, I glued the joints of them together. I used hot glue because I knew I’d be painting them. Plus, it’s waaaaay faster.</font><font color="#000000" size="3"></font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPuE6fSUOTtCjM8T5xKSlPNhi6CsCaksoE0C4346oTQuG-umKsUlKQhR5p3QW8tr5mPDpY9vuWbuN6hdSaO5qakNdjI1hihKKkLV4hjS_9onbXrZuqGQyND2PdHwISPo2a6WChmtcovF0/s1600-h/IMG_7273%5B5%5D.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="paper towel rolls" border="0" alt="paper towel rolls" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ_i38sUR6y-Tit38U4k0GcwUmYodNxz59bX9N0ueyaUAoTBtnV6CBfIuIPNltxoN37X03X43h1z-hcqE3Kg2jYEBJrY6Zz4wplvYU7tkq88J58Lzsa12ghXPAmK5okfnT7Fob6PkybW0/?imgmax=800" width="622" height="415" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve seen them attached and arranged in a variety of ways, but I was very careful not to make mine too flowery. Sensitive subject), but my Mom does! Guess who went back home for Easter and totally scored? Me. I did.</font></p> <p><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" src="http://edm.potterybarn.com/pb/2010/0623_outlet/h1.gif" width="345" height="92" /></p> <p><font size="3">My intention was to find a rug. You know, <a href="http://www.justagirlblog.com/2011/04/rugs-they-aint-cheap.html">thee rug</a>. No such luck. My mom, however, bought my daughter this </font><a href="http://www.pbteen.com/products/coffee-berkeley-jet-set-duffle/?pkey=cbackpacks-bags-luggage"><font size="3">duffle bag</font></a><font size="3"> for Easter. The website is selling it for $70. The outlet is selling it for $30. Say wha?</font></p> <p><a href="http://www.pbteen.com/products/coffee-berkeley-jet-set-duffle/popup/more-views.html"><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="Jet-Set Duffle, Dark Coffee Berkeley" alt="Jet-Set Duffle, Dark Coffee Berkeley" src="http://www.pbteen.com/ptimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201049/0015/img46m.jpg" width="383" height="383" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">And now for the best part. I’ve been looking for a counter-height craft desk for <em>months </em>now. No exaggeration. I finally conceded that I would just have to make one myself. While I was not happy about that idea, I figured it was my only option. Plus, I knew it would probably cost me more than I wanted to spend.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Until….PB stepped it up. This is currently on sale for $450. Take a moment to soak that in. With tax and shipping, we’re talking about a small desk for over $500. Huh?</font><font size="3"></font></p> <p><a href="http://www.pbteen.com/products/small-spaces-tall-desk/popup/more-views.html"><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="Pottery Barn craft desk" alt="Pottery Barn craft desk" src="http://www.pbteen.com/ptimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201049/0013/img49m.jpg" width="441" height="441" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">So this is actually the one I found. I don’t want a dark desk, but as I examined it a little more closely, I realized that we just might be a perfect match. You wanna know the price, don’t you?</font><a href="http://www.pbteen.com/products/small-spaces-tall-desk/popup/more-views.html?active=1"><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="Pottery Barn craft desk" alt="Pottery Barn craft desk" src="http://www.pbteen.com/ptimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201105/0008/img5m.jpg" width="443" height="443" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">Here’s how the markdowns went on the tag…</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="4">$499</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="4">$299</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="4">$199</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="4">$150</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="4">$99 (another 10% off)</font></p> <p align="center"><font color="#0000ff" size="4"><strong>$89 OUT. Too rocky.<a href="http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Somertile-Reflections-Piano-Brixton-Stone-and-Glass-Mosaic-Tiles-Pack-of-5/5784601/product.html?rcmndsrc=2"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="glass stone mosaic tile" alt="glass stone mosaic tile" src="http://ak1.ostkcdn.com/images/products/74/236/L13508191.jpg" width="564" height="564" /></a>This one would probably be my #1 because it has the most glass in it. <em><strong>Love</strong></em> that. However, it’s almost impossible to find. It’s also the most expensive of the tiles in my price range. Of <em>course</em> it is. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" alt="GLASS/STONE Mosaic Tile" src="http://www.lerostilesandmore.com/qc/images/product/1000366/1088.med.jpg" width="619" height="464" /></font></p> <p><font size="3">My final pick? I think? This one. It has the mix of textures I want, and it combines all the colors in the kitchen. My #1 curse is my indecisiveness. I’ll ponder on this one day and night for weeks until I’ll probably decide to get something entirely different. Let’s hope not. <a href="http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Somertile-Reflections-Piano-Nassau-Stone-and-Glass-Mosaic-Tiles-Pack-of-5/5787977/product.html"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="glass stone mosaic tile" alt="glass stone mosaic tile" src="http://ak2.ostkcdn.com/images/products/74/256/L13510973.jpg" width="564" height="564" /></a>Not one to be outdone by myself, I plan on turning my laundry room into this.</font></p> <p><font size="3"><a href="http://thetileshop.com"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" alt="Hampton Carrara Polished" src="http://www.tileshop.com/pics/Sub%20Category%20Picture%20Images/Hampton%20Carrara%20Polished.jpg" width="644" height="272" /></a></font></p> <p><font size="3">Think colors and tile—not shower and tub. I don’t need much tile in that room, so I’m thinking I can spend a little more on it. So you know what that means, don’t you? I got nothing done. No spray painting, no hot gluing, and no decorating. It moved me, simply put. See the befores…</font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="photo 1-13" alt="" src="http://jennyspringerphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/photo-1-13.jpg" width="629" height="472" /></font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="photo 2-13" alt="" src="http://jennyspringerphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/photo-2-13.jpg" width="628" height="471" /></font></p> <p><font size="3"></font></p> <p><font size="3">Are you prepared for the after?  Yeah well, I wasn’t so I had to check. Here you go.</font></p> <p><a href="http://northwesthospitality.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/jenskitchenafter.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img title="jenskitchenafter" alt="white kitchen" src="http://northwesthospitality.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/jenskitchenafter.jpg?w=640&h=426" width="640" height="426" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">There’s a couple of reasons I’m so madly in love. #1. The white. You <strong><em>know</em></strong> how much I love white. #2. It actually looks like a <em>realistic</em> home. I’ve never been so in love with a home that had such a great kitchen without 14-foot ceilings and a whole wall full of windows. </font></p> <p><font size="3">It’s such a magazine-worthy kitchen without looking like it has to be in a magazine-size space. I LOVE that. I want to ask…do you think these are 8 or 9 foot ceilings? They’ve gotta be 9, right? Please tell me they’re 8. :)</font></p> <p><a href="http://northwesthospitality.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/jensisland.jpg"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="jensisland" alt="white kitchen" src="http://northwesthospitality.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/jensisland.jpg?w=640&h=426" width="638" height="425" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">If you’d like to see more, go visit <a href="http://jennyspringerphotography.com/blog/?p=346">Jenny Springer Photography</a>. As you can see, she’s basically a photography blog, but she does offer a few design posts--this one being one of them. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Okay! Let’s see what everyone’s been up to! While it’s generally piled with clothes and Barbie dolls, I just feel like it’s a little “flat” when it’s actually clean. I’m SO close to having </font><a href="http://www.justagirlblog.com/2010/09/in-media-res.html"><font size="3">this cabinet</font></a><font size="3"> done for her room, but Michigan weather just doesn’t allow it. </font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEH1H2kKJ7Z-bo09M55AyTAFFRON3bpCAaAPTM8e7BE5zpb0n9eVib5tvh6rrUQnIp2oC7H34SCOntK5-gWaunHgYwb24g3PdRHThdmQitqyAvFzvD4alKDqNfmro4RU1vewFPkpSsU2o/s1600-h/IMG_6958%5B5%5D.jpg"><font size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="tree mural" border="0" alt="tree mural" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9HXmb5cYNYPrTzTsVu3pU2i6ljYg_f-gVq-rAOH-pEDaPxKA2pLMnZjIzOKF6kNNyxchcoyKPlE020X-EGHUre2RUyP_gSjBRaeB5aVEcv5FbRz-IkVYUGHg6Tfwab2Bfx6HtLLiXOMI/?imgmax=800" width="637" height="425" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">I figured the easy fix would be to get a rug in her room. You know, warm it up a bit, right? Break up the monotony of the floor. Easy peasy! Yeah, right. Let me show you the contenders after researching 1,745 sites for one. </font></p> <p><font size="3">#1. I remember my daughter cutting construction paper into squares for over an hour one day. It doesn’t take much, but they just love it. And then…they get older. </font></p> <p><font size="3">My 8-year old is still on the fringe, but my 11-year old’s artistic creativity has been limited to monsters, sports, and skulls.  There was a time when any one of these rooms would have been a perfect fit for my little ones, but now they’re just…well…for little ones.</font></p> <p><a href="http://arhdecor.com/decoration/category/child-room/page/2/"><font color="#000000" size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="pottery barn playroom" border="0" alt="pottery barn playroom" src="http://www.editorialmatalamanga.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Creat-the-Playroom-for-Your-Kids.jpg" width="364" height="412" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3"><a href="http://www.potterybarnkids.com/"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="pottery barn playroom" alt="pottery barn playroom" src="http://www.potterybarnkids.com/pkimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201106/0002/img4l.jpg" width="390" height="476" /></a></font></p> <p><font size="3"><a href="http://www.potterybarnkids.com/"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="pottery barn kids room" alt="pottery barn kids room" src="http://www.potterybarnkids.com/pkimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201050/0013/img56l.jpg" width="390" height="476" /></a></font></p> <p><font size="3"></font></p> <p><font size="3">I decided something needed to be done. Something I knew I wanted? A new sewing chair. A sewing chair that isn’t meant for sewing. It’s just a chair. That I’ll sew in. Perhaps this sensitivity is exactly the reason I’ve never entered a contest. </font></p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0eEq7Q2dYqSqbzKRclYZe055VQIycuLIAfEGas6aIycWsoanaXad_JWaDUM-X6ofnWoTp3NYGa4ixLBfrEvbIu4ad4cZ3RTAop1Mc_m5Tm9_gwCIlJfAZzCv6bkmIXOxhogog8DuK1KU/s1600-h/IMG_2130%5B5%5D.jpg"><font size="3"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="dining room board and batten" border="0" alt="dining room board and batten" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsGOVgo65mx6qfg5afH9Fb9OmeArR6TEOSNqpWaDuQEyjoVKOoPtsyykaCAScH9saxcePLVbRQAkmUry4-yXqEbwP9VFeVH8PBSxjvJuf4CturgFs0PgW2da5dkLhKW2A8dJL8eAEQevc/?imgmax=800" width="528" height="530" /></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">On another note, my BFF and I are taking a special Spring Break trip today. What can I say? Life gets in the way. Sounds like a song…eh? Alright, I’ll stop. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I have more to tell you about it next week, but essentially <a href="http://www.justagirlblog.com/2010/10/ok-craft-room.html">my craft room</a> is a chaotic mess right now. I’m going in a new direction. I’m selling furniture. I’m buying furniture. Busy times, little craft room! </font></p> <p><font size="3">I wanted a desk designated just for sewing. I can’t possibly be the exception here, but I feel like I <em>always</em> have something to sew. A hem here, a pair of pants there… So I was on the hunt for a small desk. And then I found it.  <img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3n1wZpRAVIjnlQENZD3SQe35cGal1MODCqHE28urlmrVkDxroO-oBKyvCzXHEs52QM9ch_w_okfAWeO-MVT1P7cFiI1bWBoGvJ-IkF3RK-NQKZDI2EO1jxaBisvkPfiJOPm-SS3Fc4xc/s400/jonathan+adler+channing+desk+white+lacqer+x-base+drawers+lucite+pull+knob+polished+nickel.jpg" width="400" height="400" /></font></p> <p><font size="3">Jonathan Adler knew exactly what I was looking for and made this desk just. for. me. The sleek shape, the sexy lines, the shiny legs--drool-worthy, I tell ya.</font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" alt="click to view full size" src="http://cdn.decorpad.com/photos/2011/02/11/caa403c41ecc.png" width="322" height="433" /></font></p> <p><font size="3">And then he put a $1750.00 price tag on it. Say WHA? I said $1,750.00!! I couldn’t even afford the tax on it. Sigh. Good bye, desk.</font></p> <p><font size="3"><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" alt="click to view full size" src="http://cdn.decorpad.com/photos/2008/11/04/f528a2957e8d.jpg" width="320" height="400" /></font></p> <p><font size="3"></font></p> <p><font size="3">Never fear, however. All opinions are 100% mine.</p> <p> <font size='3'>As each new season approaches, <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5912&oid=1979842'>Pier 1</a> is thee store I go to for inspiration and decor! It’s been a long time favorite of mine, and this season is certainly no exception.</font></p> <p> <font size='3'>Because I like texture throughout my house, I often use outdoor furniture inside my house. I gathered some of my favorite “summer” items from <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5912&oid=1979842'>Pier 1</a>, and it looks like an indoor room, right?! You could easily use any of these pieces inside or outside.</font></p> <p> <font size='3'><img style='display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto' src='http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad54/jagirl44/pier1.jpg?t=1301172130' alt='pier 1'/></font></p> <p> <font size='3'>Summer is certainly not the longest season when you live in Michigan, so I love that <a href='http://www.pier1.com/?utm_source=US&utm_medium=IzeaCampaign&utm_campaign=Izea_20110301'>Pier 1</a> offers timeless (or in this case, season-less) serving ware. It’s fun, festive, and summery, but I could easily use it anytime of the year.</font></p> <p> <font size='3'><img width='645' style='display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto' src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/pier1studio/tastingparty/Tasting-Party_29.jpg' height='223' alt='A Casual Get-Together'/><img width='644' style='display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto' src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/pier1studio/tastingparty/Tasting-Party_32.jpg' height='186' alt='A Casual Get-Together'/><img width='644' style='display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto' src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/pier1studio/tastingparty/Tasting-Party_35.jpg' height='236' alt='A Casual Get-Together'/></font></p> <p> <font size='3'>And finally, how can a neutral-loving girl embrace the color of summer decor? My advice…use small pops of it. It’s no secret that I love the softer hues of items, but there are definitely moments where I need—dare I say <em><strong>desire</strong></em>—some color. In order to keep myself from breaking out in hives, I keep the items small.</font></p> <p> <font size='3'>I may or may not have bought every single one of these items this weekend. Looking at them all together seems like a LOT of color, but just imagine them as an adorable and fresh accent throughout a whole house. I’m too excited!</font></p> <p> <font size='3'> <img src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2510097.jpg'/> <img src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2323786.jpg'/></font></p> <p> <font size='3'> <img src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2452286.jpg'/> <img src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2506690.jpg'/></font></p> <p> <font size='3'> <img style='display: inline; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px' src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2507366.jpg'/> <img src='http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2487520.jpg'/></font></p> <p> <font size='3'>If you plan on being in any of the following locations, they are hosting another <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5932&oid=1979842'>Pier 1 Tweetups</a>! I am missing out on it, but you could certainly attend! Click on the link to see where you could be the possible winner of $500 from Pier 1! <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5992&oid=1979842'>contest rules</a></font></p> <p> <font size='3'><font size='3'><span style='display: none' _fck_bookmark='1'>you dk sdfadfdfaddede</span></font></font></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/disclosure_clicks?oid=1979842'> <img style='border:none;' src='http://app.socialspark.com/views?oid=1979842' border='0' alt='Visit Sponsor's Site'/> </a></p> </div> Alannah Huddarthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02819100861650432824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893407517371453303.post-91248767410575519432011-03-23T20:20:00.000-07:002016-03-22T01:46:37.931-07:00Guess Who’s Back? I truly can’t tell you how much it means to me. More importantly, it all  impressed my sweet grandpa—and that’s not easy to do. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve had family here from all over the country, so you can imagine how much my creative time has been squelched. However, an ice storm on our 2nd day of spring (this <strong><em>is</em></strong> Michigan, after all) allowed me to do some <em>much</em> needed inspiration shopping.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Wanna see what I’ve got on the brain?
